Is IT considered to be a black hole in your organisation? Maybe you have heard statements from the business side like ”IT is too expensive”, ”We have to cut maintenance costs” and ”We don’t know what we are paying for”?
The rapid innovation and development of software and hardware bring many opportunities to improve business processes and business efficiency. However, somewhere down the road the value of the IT investments got harder to relate to concrete business value.
Service Management is all about closing the gap between IT and business. To be transparent and show how IT-services directly relates to improved business outcome. To present the IT delivery as IT services mapped to business processes and activities also clarifies that it is the business needs and business decisions that drive IT cost, not the IT organisation as such.
To be able to take the right strategic decisions you need to understand, present and explain the link from software and hardware to the real business value. What should be prioritized, what can be outsourced, where can we consolidate to avoid many solutions mapping to the same business need?
Welcome to a seminar with a mixture of real life examples, theory and discussions where your own experiences and challenges will set the scene.
Jens Johansson and Therese Bülow, certified Service Managers and ITIL Exerts, will present and facilitate the evening. They have been working within the Service Management area for 10+ years and are consultants and trainers at Avega Group in Malmö.
