If everything seems under control, you’re just not going fast enough
Jarek Palka - Jarek has worked for more than 20 years in the IT industry, as a database administrator, programmer, architect, manager, and “onsite disaster engineer”. He has taken part in small, medium, and nonsensically-large projects using all different processes, including waterfall, agile and no process whatsoever, always with the same effect. This led him to the conclusion that it doesn’t matter what you do, as long as you do it in the simplest possible way, and use the right tools to do the work for you. Recently, he’s been spending too much time exploring JVM’s best kept secrets, reading about managed runtimes, parsers and interpreters, and writing his own virtual machine. From time to time, you can hear his low-quality jokes about architecture and programming at conferences in Poland. He is also the author of a blog, http://geekyprimitives.com/, and is one of the founders of the SegFault conferences brand as well as a full-time benchmarking infrastructure engineer at Neo4j.
